We're back! The new expansion grace period is officially over and it's time for me to get off my butt and start posting here again. You can expect new daily posts from me (time permitting) once again, but right now we have the triumphant return of Meet The Crew!

Drinking, games, drinking games, epic Harms Way raids and wondering where the day went after a full day of WoW.

Elitists, noisy and immature people, assignments and tests (why can’t we be graded on how awesome we are?).
In life, Selangor was a scholar studying the arcane energy provided by the Sunwell. He fought valiantly against the Scourge during Arthas’ march on Silvermoon and, although he survived the Scourge assault, was caught in the fires meant to deter them from Sunstrider Isle.
Following his death and subsequent resurrection as a Death Knight, Selangor became intrigued by the unholy power the Scourge possessed. For years he studied and practiced, honing his abilities and trying to find the limit of his power. He had not found it even by the time he was freed from the Lich King’s grasp.
Now with a will of his own, Selangor joined Harms Way as they marched on Icecrown Citadel in the hopes of facing the Lich King himself. Selangor aimed to gain even more power over the unholy forces he commanded. Unfortunately, other heroes slew the Lich King before Selangor could reach him.
The strength that Selangor possessed was unlike anything the members of Harms Way had ever seen – frightening and heroic at the same time. He was clearly one of the most powerful beings they had ever come across.
Despite the Northrend campaign coming to an end, Selangor has chosen to stay amongst Harms Way, becoming ever stronger, and always waiting for the next opportunity to sharpen his skills.
That's all we have time for this week; I have to go hide from Sel, just in case he doesn't like his profile and decides to put an end to my long-winded ways. He really does scare me... unless he's reading this right now, in which case we're bestest buds, right?
Right?

MTC Monday: Kerreck
Meet The Crew Monday is an opportunity to find out more about all the TAURENS we have in Harms Way. Apparently we only have TAURENS. What? My brain is fine, thanks for asking.
Kerreck
Tauren Druid
Balance/Restoration
Location:
Melbourne, Victoria
Age:
26
Likes:
Picking flowers, punting gnomes, raiding alliance cities.
Dislikes:
Humans, dwarves, night elves, dranei, GNOMES!
Most Epic Moment:
Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Sporran defending Sylvanas from an Alliance raid. I was blasting the Alliance into smudges on the ground while Sporran ensured I stayed alive longer than they did. Forty Alliance, countless Undercity Guards, a pissed off banshee queen and two very dangerous tauren. It was beautiful.
Kerreck has always had a passion for destroying things, a trait not often seen in tauren druids. After honing his destructive skills in the lush green plains of Mulgore, Kerreck set out to find his fortune. Young and naïve, Kerreck believed he was ten-feet tall and bulletproof. After meeting Sporran, Kerreck realised that together they actually were ten-feet tall and bulletproof. The pair have been inseparable ever since.
The taurens travelled all over Azeroth, destroying any of the foolish Alliance that got in their way - and there were many. Kerreck's irrational fear and hatred of gnomes (similar to how an elekk is scared of mice) has led to the two paying special attention to any situations involving their slaughter, of which there were many more.
Seeing the opportunity to develop his destructive potential, Kerreck joined Harms Way shortly after Sporran did. Now, along with his own talents, Kerreck hopes to help others attain the skills necessary to sow maximum havoc within the Alliance ranks.
That's quite enough tauren for this week. If you'd like to see your character in this space, in all their splendour and glory, drop Ahzae a line. If you're not a tauren, you'll probably make him weep with happiness. Tune in next week for what will probably be another tauren!

MTC Monday: Raggingruck
Yet another Meet The Crew Monday is upon us and.. wait, what?! Another tauren?! Things are beginning to look a bit suspect, I think. I'll do my best to get you a non-tauren next week (we have them, I swear!) but in the meantime prepare to bask in the glory that is Ruck!

The Alliance, the Alliance, people who don't know how to have a good time and... oh yeah, the Alliance!
Most Epic Moment:"Taking down Blackrock Spire back in the day with my brother, who is no longer with us."
Starting out as as Watcher for Thunderbluff, Raggingruck and his two siblings were sent as soldiers for the Horde to fight off the Alliance forces in Kalimdor. He rapidly honed his skills as a warrior and distinguished himself as an invaluable asset to the Horde.
Raggingruck's rank grew as he proved his worth on assignments all over Azeroth, managing to reach the officer rank of Blood Guard. With his equally skilled brother and sister by his side, he was considered by many (if not all) an unstoppable force.
Tragedy struck when both Raggingruck's siblings fell, leaving him with only his blood-stained blade to cling to. Raggingruck forsook the Horde that day - he took his battle-worn blade, loud mouth and blind rage back to the field of battle and has been taking his anger out on the Alliance ever since.
After a time, wandering from battle to battle with just a blade and no real direction, another warrior began to take notice. The warrior Banakin approached Raggingruck with a proposal and a promise: "Join me, focus your rage and you will find your place."
The two discussed at length their hatred for the boys-in-blue, and Raggingruck agreed to join Harms Way. Shortly after, he was introduced to Ahzae, whose wisdom acted as a counterbalance to Raggingruck's unbridled fury.
Now, Raggingruck is a revamped, recharged and re-established walking nightmare for anyone that would dare to cross him or his new found family.
That's it for this week - be sure to watch this space next Monday for a profile on yet another tauren, knowing my luck! *grumbles*

MTC Monday: Banakin
Meet the Crew Monday is here again to give more helpful and possibly disturbing insights into some of our guild members. This week is Banakin, second in command and lead recruitment officer of Harms Way.
Tauren Warrior
(Protection/Arms)
Second in Command
Location:
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Age:
24
Likes:
Finding teeth stuck in his shield.
Dislikes:
Paladins, clean shields.
Most epic moment:
"Starting (and winning) a four hour war with the alliance at Lost Rigger Cove in Tanaris. Was the last man standing after roughly thirty alliance troops came to reinforce their allies."
Banakin wasn't always the ice-hearted killer he is today.
Innocently leveling through Ashenvale, determined to be a protector for his people, Banakin got caught in an alliance raid on Splintertree Post. Despite a valiant defense from Banakin, Splintertree Post was overrun by alliance.
Members of the horde that were now effectively captured in an alliance occupied Splintertree called for reinforcements, but it seemed no-one would come for them.
Banakin was attempting to rally the horde into counterattacking Astranaar in the hopes of causing enough chaos to allow the rest of the entrapped horde to escape, when their captors began to scatter. A feral druid had begun attacking the enemy from behind, catching them off guard.
A newly brain-snapped Ahzae had arrived in Ashenvale, spotted the alliance occupation and had immediately begun tearing into them. Banakin happily joined the fray by his side, dispatching any alliance that had been left behind. Ahzae seemed delighted about the proposed attack on Astranaar and, with all the other horde they could muster, quickly swooped down on and crippled the alliance establishment. The two Taurens held Astranaar for hours before finally relinquishing control to the pleading alliance. That day was the turning point for Banakin.
Since then the two have been near inseperable (and near unstoppable when working together). Though Ahzae has since tried to change his violent ways, Banakin still has an unquenchable lust for blood and extreme contempt for the alliance. Following Ahzae through thick and thin, Banakin has become a key component of Harms Way - all too happy to deal out the faceshields when Ahzae becomes too complacent.
That's it for this week, but there'll always be more! Come back next time for a look at some of our more recent additions.

MTC Monday: Ahzae
Meet the Crew Monday is our weekly feature that gives a little more insight into the members of Harms Way. As much as I dislike tooting my own horn(s), Banakin was unavailable for this and I'm not quite willing to subject my newly found members to the full force of teh intarwebz... yet.
Founder of Harms Way
Location:
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Age:
26
Favourite food:
Beef Jerky (oh the shame!)
Most epic moment: The very second I finished the Swift Flight Form quest and went from the worlds most sluggish bird to "wth just whizzed past my head?!"
Ahzae, a peaceloving druid since release, has been pottering around in one form or another for the past five years. Essentially "growing up" on PvP servers, Ahzae had to find numerous ways to avoid conflict, or fight for his life. Specialising in feral talents early on meant he could sneak past most threats undetected. This also led to tanking for groups, where he got a taste for being the supply for group demands.
After a fateful encounter in Nagrand with a very persistent night elf druid, Ahzae snapped. Now convinced that the alliance were nothing more than murderous children intent on killing anything at first sight, Ahzae went on a violent rampage, gleefully tearing apart any alliance members he encountered without a second thought. Despite his newly found lust for blood, he spent so much time killing alliance that little else was getting done. It was time for a change.
Shortly after transferring to a PvE server (Khaz'goroth) along with his ever-more vicious brother-in-arms Banakin, Ahzae founded Harms Way - a group dedicated to discover and hone the skills of some of the greatest overlooked heroes and to try to get back in touch with his peaceful side.
Well that's enough from me. There's always more to tell but I don't want to give the game away early, now do I?
Stay tuned next Monday when we turn the spotlight on Banakin and his rise to power.
