Core Teams Dissolving

Yup, it's over. The "core team" idea appears destined to fail and I'm a big enough man to know when I've been beaten and to sound a retreat.

Sadly, it seems we can't really get a proper "core team" off the ground without it becoming the srs bznz raids I'm desperately trying to avoid. As of today, CT ranks 1 and 2 are being removed (former CT members will be made veterans instead).

This is actually good news for the rest of the guild, as there will be no restrictions or priorities on who gets what - we'll also go back to the old system of scheduling four hundred raids through out the week and continue making your calendar give you a headache whenever you look at it :P

In the meantime, try to ignore the guild promotion/demotion spam as I move everything back around.

TL;DR: Everyone gets to raid, all the time! *starts looking for a piƱata*

  1. The concept of a 'core team' implies 'no RL', sadly.
Those people who do not have families, jobs, or social lives tend to be in hardcore guilds, and very smug about being awesome at gaming.
Then there are those of us who enjoy gaming, fitting it in as much as possible around other stuff.
    Just the way it is.
Argh. Gaming. Real life. *head hurts*

Meanwhile, may I suggest a large spreadsheet. LoL. One where each week you enter which toons get saved to which raids on which days. To help with the next problem, which will be putting together a raid group only to find that half are saved from another day...

TBH, I don't mind a full calendar. I can look at the week, cross-reference with my work roster, and sign up to what I'm reasonable sure I can make (barring emergencies).

For now, I'm off to work, and will be AWOL for the next 3 days. Loving 1200 - 2000 shifts.

Back Monday for 7 days off. Raiding time.
